OVI Sync Settings

If your phone cannot receive an SMS from Ovi, you can manually create, configure and activate your S60 sync profile.

  1. To create the profile, select “Menu”, then “Connect”, then “Sync”.
  2. Go to “Options” and select “New sync profile”. Do not copy values from other profiles.
  3. To configure the “Sync” profile, enter the details:
    1. Sync profile name: Accept the Ovi service default account name
    2. Select Applications, then Contacts.
    3. Contacts database: Select it, then Include in sync enter: “Yes”, then “Remote database”, and enter: ./Contact/Unfiled  then return to “Applications”.
    4. Calendar database: Select it, then Include in sync enter: “Yes”, then “Remote database”, and enter: ./EventTask/Tasks  then return to “Applications”.
    5. Notes database: Select it, then Include in sync enter: “Yes”, then “Remote database”, and enter: ./Note/Unfiled  then return to “Sync profile”.
    6. Select Connection settings
    7. Server version: Leave the default value.
    8. Server ID: Enter: Ovi.com.
    9. Data bearer: Select it, then enter: Internet.
    10. Access point: Select the preferred access point.
    11. Host Address: https://sync.ovi.com/services/syncml
    12. Port:443
    13. User name: xxxyyxyxyx
    14. Password: jhjhhjhjhjhjh
    15. Allow sync requests: Leave the default value.
    16. Accept all sync requests: Leave the default value.
    17. Network authentication: This setting depends on the details of your data connectivity service. If you select “Yes”, you have to fill also your Nokia account username and password.
