Edit Source List
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu precise main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu precise-updates main restricted universe multiverse
Make sure above two lines exist.
sudo apt-get update
