Solution for : "Always use this program to open these files" is grayed out – windows 7

 

1.      Open regedit

2.      Go toHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts

3.      Find your extension

4.      Delete the UserChoice key
